AppTech System

Web Development Company Singapore

Web Development Company Singapore

AppTech System is a web development company in Singapore building custom websites and web applications for local businesses: customer portals, booking platforms, ecommerce solutions, and the internal tools your team logs into daily. Multiple delivered projects across logistics, education, retail, finance and healthcare, plus three products of our own in production.

Software, not brochure pages

Customer portals · booking and ecommerce · internal operations tools · SaaS platforms · legacy rebuilds. React, TypeScript, Node.js and AWS: stacks you can hire for in Singapore.

Our web development services

Website development that carries real weight

Not just brochure pages. Customer portals where clients check their own orders, documents and status. Booking and ecommerce solutions with payments, availability and automated reminders. Internal operations tools that replace the spreadsheets behind scheduling, approvals and job tracking.

Custom website development sits alongside web application development in most of our projects, because the two rarely stay separate for long. A marketing site grows a login. A portal needs a content management system behind it so your team can edit pages without calling a developer. We build both, and we build mobile app development into the same stack when the work belongs on a phone.

We also rebuild what already exists. Legacy sites that still work but sit on technology nobody in the company can safely change, and web applications that outgrew the agency that first built them. Rebuilds are often the harder job, because the system has to keep running while it is replaced.

Every project ships on technology you can hire for in Singapore: React and TypeScript on the front, Node.js or Python behind, AWS underneath.

Customer portals

Your clients check their own orders, documents and status instead of emailing your team for an update.

Internal operations tools

The scheduling, approvals and job tracking currently running on spreadsheets and hand-offs.

Dashboards and reporting

Records you already hold, turned into numbers a manager can act on before month-end instead of after it.

Multi-tenant SaaS platforms

You are the software vendor. Tenant isolation, billing and onboarding get designed in from day one, not added at version two.

Workflow and approval systems

Your rules are genuinely yours, and no product configures far enough to match them.

Legacy replacements

The system still works. The technology under it is out of support, and nobody left in the company knows how to change it safely.

Design agency or software company

Most web development companies in Singapore are design agencies

This matters more than it sounds. Search the term and you will mostly find web design agencies. They are genuinely good at what they do, and a well-designed brochure site is a real skill. Website design and development are different disciplines that often sit in the same company, and the balance between them decides what you actually get.

But a website that takes bookings, holds customer accounts, applies your pricing rules and talks to your accounting system is software. It needs a data model, a permissions model, and integrations with systems whose behaviour you do not control. Those are engineering problems, and they are where design-led projects usually stall.

Ask any shortlisted company which of the two they actually are, and ask to see something they built that has a login behind it. Both answers are fine. Hiring the wrong one for your project is not, and the mismatch usually surfaces halfway through the build when the quote has already been signed.

Case studies from our work

Multiple systems in production

A few show the range. Three of them became products we now sell and maintain.

Logistics: dispatch and route planning

For a logistics operator we built dispatch and route planning that replaced four spreadsheets and a daily rekeying job. That work became DispatchOps.

Healthcare and education: booking

For appointment-based businesses we built booking with payments, deposits and automated reminders, now productised as BooknGo.

Operations: workflow automation

For operations teams drowning in manual hand-offs we built workflow automation with audit trails, now Automiq.

Running our own products changes how we build for clients. Uptime, versioning, migrations and support are problems our team lives with rather than reads about, and that shows up in the boring decisions: how errors are handled, how data is backed up, how a release goes out without taking the business offline.

Ask us for a client reference in your industry. We would rather you called one than took our word for it.

Choosing a partner

What makes a good web development company?

Four things separate the ones worth shortlisting.

Working software in production, not mock-ups

Ask for live business websites and a client you can actually call. A portfolio of designs proves nothing about whether the thing still runs a year later.

Clarity about what happens after launch

Hosting, security patches, backups and small changes should be priced separately from the build, and named as a person you can contact.

Code you can take elsewhere

Mainstream frameworks, documentation, and your name on the repository and the hosting account. If a company hesitates on ownership, that is the answer.

Honest scoping

A company that gives you a number before understanding your process is guessing, and you will pay for the guess later.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does web development cost in Singapore?

No agency publishes a fixed price, and a single figure would mislead. Four things move it: the number of pages and templates, the number of user roles, the integrations, and whether existing content has to migrate. A straightforward marketing site with a contact form sits at the bottom of the range. A portal with logins, payments and two integrations sits well above it. Ask every quote to separate build, hosting and ongoing changes, so you can compare offers honestly. Custom builds are commonly fundable under the Enterprise Development Grant; Enterprise Singapore is consolidating PSG, MRA and EDG into a single scheme called EDGE from the second half of 2026, so confirm which scheme is open before you apply.

How long does a project take?

A marketing site with standard templates usually runs a few weeks. A web application with accounts, permissions and integrations runs months, and the variable is rarely the code. The schedule slips on decisions, not development: waiting on content, waiting on a decision about who approves what, waiting for access to a system we need to integrate with. Project management is mostly the work of naming those dependencies early and chasing them, which is why we assign one named lead per build rather than routing you through an account manager.

Do you redesign existing websites?

Yes, and it is often the better option. A redesign that keeps your URLs, content and rankings in search engines intact costs less than a rebuild and carries less risk. We start by checking what is worth keeping. Sometimes the design is tired but the underlying system is sound. Sometimes the reverse is true, and the honest answer is that a redesign would put a new coat of paint on a structural problem. We will tell you which before you commit.

Will my website be mobile-friendly and can you build ecommerce?

Every site we build is responsive by default, and we test on real devices rather than trusting a browser preview. Most Singapore traffic arrives on a phone, so user experience on mobile is the primary design target, not an afterthought. For ecommerce we build both on established platforms and as custom applications. Which is right depends on your catalogue, your fulfilment process and how unusual your pricing rules are. Standard retail is usually better served by a platform. Complex B2B pricing, quotations or multi-warehouse stock usually is not.

Do you work with AI?

Yes, and we try to be specific about it rather than decorative. We integrate large language models into existing systems through their APIs: enquiry handling, document classification, drafting and summarising inside a workflow your staff already use. Automiq is our own AI solutions platform, so the pattern is one we run in production rather than demonstrate. What we will not do is add AI to a project that does not need it. If the honest answer is a database query and a rule, we will say so.

Why AppTech

Why choose AppTech as your web development company

We are a software development company first, which shapes what we refuse to do: shortcuts on the data model, permissions bolted on late, integrations with no error handling. Our founders are former enterprise software architects, and the team is in Singapore, working your hours.

PDPA-aware data handling, role-based access and audit logging are defaults on every build, not extras. You own the source code and the infrastructure it runs on.
