Bespoke ERP or inventory systems
An integrated system covering at least three functions, such as finance, inventory and project management, built around how you operate. EDGE lets you use your own vendor for this when no pre-approved package fits.
EDGE Grant / Custom Software Development
The EDGE Grant replaced the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) on 30 September 2026. For eligible Singapore SMEs it can support up to 50% of qualifying costs, when a custom build fits one of its activities.
EDG, PSG and MRA have been replaced by the EDGE Grant. They closed to new applications on 29 September 2026, and the EDGE Grant took over from 30 September 2026. Applications submitted before then, and projects already under way, continue under their original scheme. See what changed under EDGE and Enterprise Singapore's EDGE page.
Since 30 September 2026, the EDGE Grant has replaced the EDG, PSG and MRA as Enterprise Singapore's single business grant. For most activities, eligible SMEs can receive up to 50% of qualifying costs (non-SMEs up to 30%), and each company is capped at S$100,000 a year across all activities.
What changed for custom software is the structure. The EDG assessed a bespoke project on its own merits; EDGE funds activities. Enterprise Singapore does not name one activity for bespoke software, so the first step is matching the build to the right one. An integrated enterprise system, such as an ERP covering at least three business functions, can be built by your own vendor when no pre-approved package has the functions you need. Digital solutions and integrated systems share a S$30,000 sub-cap within the S$100,000.
For larger customised projects outside the standard activities, the Government has said businesses can still apply to Enterprise Singapore directly. Either way, confirm the route with Enterprise Singapore’s advisors before you apply. The grant reduces the cost of a project you already want to do; it does not make software free.
What qualifies
Projects with a measurable before-and-after are the strongest. Whether each one fits an EDGE activity depends on the details, which is what Enterprise Singapore’s advisors confirm. Typical examples:
An integrated system covering at least three functions, such as finance, inventory and project management, built around how you operate. EDGE lets you use your own vendor for this when no pre-approved package fits.
Replacing manual, spreadsheet-driven processes with software that routes, tracks and audits work.
Turning scattered data into a single, live view for faster decisions.
Connecting fragmented tools into one streamlined operation.
Up to 50% for SMEs
A worked example: an SME's S$40,000 integrated system, supported at 50%, would receive up to S$20,000, inside the S$30,000 sub-cap, for a net cost of roughly S$20,000. Above S$60,000 the sub-cap is what limits support for digital solutions and integrated systems, so a larger platform gets proportionally less.
To size your own project first, our project estimator returns an indicative range in about 30 seconds, and our cost-benchmark guide breaks down what drives the number. Both are useful before you model the grant.
EDGE works on reimbursement, so you must apply before you commit spend: scope and quote the project, apply via the Business Grants Portal with Corppass, get approval, then build and claim. Our EDGE hub walks through eligibility, the caps and the full application sequence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not automatically. EDGE funds specific activities, and Enterprise Singapore assesses each application against the activity and your company’s eligibility. An integrated enterprise system with at least three functions has a defined route; other bespoke builds should be checked with Enterprise Singapore’s advisors before you apply.
No. The EDG, PSG and MRA closed to new applications after 29 September 2026. Applications submitted before 30 September 2026 are still assessed under their original scheme, and projects already under way are supported to completion.
No. Enterprise Singapore does not support an application if work has started, or any payment or deposit has gone to a vendor, before it was submitted. Apply first, then sign and pay.
Yes. Each company can receive up to S$100,000 a year across all EDGE activities, and within that up to S$30,000 on single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. The EDG had no fixed dollar cap; EDGE does.
