Fixed-Scope Project
Best when the goal is clear
We scope, quote a fixed price against defined milestones, and deliver. You know the cost and timeline up front.
- Defined scope & milestones
- Fixed, transparent price
- Ideal for grant applications
How We Work
However you want to engage us — a fixed project, an embedded team, or ongoing support — the goal is the same: software that works, delivered by people you can actually talk to.
Engagement Models
Best when the goal is clear
We scope, quote a fixed price against defined milestones, and deliver. You know the cost and timeline up front.
Best for evolving products
An embedded team — developers, design, and PM — working continuously on your roadmap as priorities shift.
Best after launch
Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, security updates, and small enhancements to keep your system healthy and improving.
Not sure which fits? Most engagements start with a fixed-scope first project, then move to a dedicated team or support retainer as the relationship grows. Let’s talk it through.
Our Process
We spend time with the people who actually do the work — operations staff, managers, and decision-makers. We map current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and assess which parts of the problem software can genuinely solve versus what is a process or people issue. You receive a written summary of findings and a build-vs-buy recommendation before any proposal is issued.
We translate the discovery findings into a fixed-scope document: defined deliverables, acceptance criteria, and a transparent price. Where existing off-the-shelf platforms cover a need well, we say so. Where custom is the right call, we explain why. For grant-supported projects we align the scope to EDG or PSG requirements from the outset.
Before writing production code we design screens and system architecture with you. Clickable prototypes let your staff test real workflows early — catching mismatches in requirements at the cheapest possible stage. Sign-off on the prototype is the gate to build; nothing proceeds without it.
Development runs in short iterations, each ending with a working demo you can review. We work from proven internal platform modules so early iterations are substantive, not skeleton UIs. When scope changes are requested mid-build — and they will be — we assess impact on timeline and budget transparently, document the decision, and only proceed with your agreement.
Every release goes through functional testing, integration testing against third-party systems (where APIs exist), and a security review against OWASP Top 10 risks. Personal data handling is checked against PDPA obligations — data minimisation, consent flows, and retention limits. Nothing reaches production without a signed-off test report.
Go-live is planned, not rushed. We handle data migration, environment setup, and staff onboarding. You receive full source code, documentation, and credentials — all intellectual property transfers to you on final payment. A structured handover checklist confirms every item has been delivered before the project closes.
After launch we provide monitoring, security patching, and a defined channel for issue reporting. Small enhancements go through the same lightweight scoping process as the original project. We aim to be your long-term technology partner, not a one-off vendor — most clients extend into a support retainer or dedicated team arrangement after their first project.
How We Work Together
Scope changes are normal in custom software. When one arises we assess the impact in writing — on timeline, budget, and technical risk — and present it to you before any work begins. Small clarifications within the agreed scope are handled without ceremony. Larger additions go through a lightweight change-request document so there are no disputed bills at the end.
You have a single point of contact throughout the engagement. We hold regular check-ins — the cadence suits the size of the project — and share progress via a shared project tracker rather than email threads. Demo sessions are scheduled at the end of each build iteration so you can see the system evolving rather than waiting for a final reveal.
All intellectual property in the custom code we write for you transfers to you on final payment. You receive full source code, deployment scripts, and credentials. We do not retain a licence to resell your solution to competitors. Open-source components remain under their respective licences, and we document which ones are used.
Systems that handle personal data are built with Singapore's PDPA in mind from the design stage — we identify what data is collected, how long it is retained, and whether consent or notification obligations apply. Passwords and sensitive credentials are never stored in plaintext. Communications between services are encrypted in transit. We test against OWASP Top 10 risks before any production deployment.
Custom software rarely replaces everything. Where your existing accounting system, CRM, or government portal exposes a documented API, we build integrations so data flows without manual re-entry. If no API exists we advise on the realistic options — a data export schedule, a middleware layer, or an alternative approach — rather than promising something that cannot be done reliably.
What You Can Count On
Clear scope, clear pricing, regular demos. No surprises.
Maintainable, documented code by former enterprise architects.
We start from proven platform modules, so you ship in weeks.
We build partnerships, not one-off projects.
