EDGE Grant for Workflow Automation
Automation & Digitalisation is one of the EDGE Grant’s business areas. Eligible Singapore SMEs can receive up to 50% of qualifying costs when an automation project fits one of its activities.
EDG, PSG and MRA have been replaced by the EDGE Grant. They closed to new applications on 29 September 2026, and the EDGE Grant took over from 30 September 2026. Workflow automation, including AI-assisted automation, has one of the clearest productivity cases of any software project: hours of manual work removed, errors cut, throughput raised. That is the case Enterprise Singapore looks for.
Since 30 September 2026 it is the EDGE Grant, not the EDG, that funds it. Automation & Digitalisation is one of EDGE's business areas, with most activities supported at up to 50% for SMEs. Its activities range from pre-approved digital solutions to equipment, so confirm with Enterprise Singapore's advisors which one a custom software automation fits. As with any EDGE application, approval comes before you commit spend.

What it means for your budget
A worked example: an automation project in the S$18,000 to S$25,000 range, supported at 50%, would receive up to S$9,000 to S$12,500 if it fits an activity at that level. The savings the automation creates often pay back the net cost on their own.

The sequence that matters most

Often, yes. A focused automation is usually smaller in scope than an organisation-wide platform, which makes it a strong first project and easier to keep within EDGE’s caps.
