Across the market, custom software commonly runs from about S$20,000 to well over S$500,000 depending on scope. How much does custom software cost in Singapore?

Most custom software projects for Singapore SMEs land somewhere between S$15,000 and S$120,000, with simple internal tools at the lower end and multi-feature platforms at the higher end. Across the broader Singapore market the same picture holds: simple internal tools and automation from roughly S$10,000–20,000, mid-range web and mobile builds between S$25,000 and S$100,000, and complex SaaS or enterprise systems from S$100,000 upward. The spread is wide because “custom software” covers everything from a single-purpose form-and-dashboard to an org-wide platform with payments, integrations, and AI.

Four things move the number more than anything else. Once you know where you sit on each, your budget stops being a guess:

• Scale of rollout. A pilot for a handful of users costs far less than an org-wide system for thousands. Large, high-availability rollouts can add 50–60% over a mid-scale build.
• Features. Every capability — payments, dashboards, integrations, AI, real-time tracking — is its own slice of work. The feature list is usually the single biggest lever you control (see the next section).
• Design treatment. A clean build on a proven design system is cheapest; custom-branded adds roughly 15%, and pixel-perfect-to-your-designs around 25–30%.
• Timeline. A flexible deadline costs less than a compressed “ASAP” build, which needs a larger team working in parallel — typically a ~15–20% premium.

What do common features add to the price?

Can a grant cut the cost?

For eligible Singapore businesses, it can. The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) commonly co-funded up to 50% of qualifying costs for custom software projects until it closed to new applications after 29 September 2026 (Enterprise Singapore). Its replacement, the EDGE Grant, funds up to 50% of qualifying costs for SMEs (30% for non-SMEs), capped at S$100,000 per company per year, with up to S$30,000 of that on single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. Enterprise Singapore does not name a single EDGE activity for custom software, so a build may be supported when it fits one of its activities: confirm that with Enterprise Singapore’s advisors before you commit. If it does, a S$40,000 build at the SME level could have roughly S$20,000 of its cost covered.
